The Serenade1 will guarantee an unforgettable holiday. This new river cruiser will take you along some of Europe’s largest rivers. Amazing landscapes, picturesque little villages, impressive cities, historic buildings and other cultural heritage will be within your horizon.
The Serenade1 had her maiden voyage in April 2005. The vessel is characterised by the extensive use of glass. A Sky Lounge on the Sun deck and the glass dome in the lobby, provide a panoramic view of all the scenic beauty around you.
4-star service
The Serenade carries her 4 stars with great pride. Everywhere on board you will experience the high standard of service by our dedicated staff, whether during a top quality meal in the Mendelssohn Restaurant, or during a pre-dinner cocktail in the Vivaldi Bar and Lounge.
Our Hotel Manager, together with our professional team of chefs, waiters and waitresses will ensure that all our guests are provided with the superb service that we stand for. In the Mendelssohn Restaurant every morning a delicious buffet breakfast is served, in the afternoon an extensive lunch, and at night you may choose a sumptuous four course dinner à la carte.
Sea Chefs, a worldwide known and praised caterer for cruise ships, is a guarantee for a very high standard of quality in food and service. All meals are prepared with fresh ingredients, selected by our Chefs in the ports of call.

Luxury and Comfort
During the cruise your accommodation consists of a cosy cabin with a small seating area, a flat screen satellite TV, minibar, safe, and coffee and tea making facilities. The size of the bathrooms on the Serenade1 is unique. All of the bathrooms are equipped with a separate shower and a bathtub. All cabins on the Mozart deck and the Chopin deck have floor to ceiling sliding French windows and a balcony. We have 2 luxury suites with large balconies and wheelchair accessible cabins for disabled guests. The Sauna and Fitness area are open to all at no extra charge.
The Mendelssohn Restaurant has 140 seats. The large screens at the back and front let you peek over the Captain’s shoulder on the bridge, so you can follow the manoeuvres of our nautical team. Information screens keep you updated on recommended activities in the ports of call.
The library offers sufficient information for our Guests to read about the ports of call and the history of the beautiful sights in view. A great variety of interesting shore excursions with experienced guides, are offered throughout your voyage.
The Vivaldi Lounge is the perfect area to relax and enjoy the view at the same time. The bar offers a great variety of beers, wines and spirits. Because of the continuous service, you are able to enjoy a drink or snack until the wee hours. Our staff will also make sure that you are being served whilst relaxing in a lounge chair on the sun deck.
The Serenade1 is for the greater part a non-smoking ship. For those that do want to enjoy the smoking of tobacco, we have reserved the Captain’s Club and the Sky Lounge.
